bullet_tick Make sure your tyres are not over or under inflated, check out your vehicle hand book for the correct tyre pressures.

bullet_tick Roof racks are definitely not fashion accessories! When you are not using your roof rack and/or roof box, take it off. Leaving these on can dramatically increase fuel consumption.

bullet_tick Turn off your engines in heavy traffic or waiting at level crossings, some vehicles such as the latest Mini's and BMW's already have this feature built into the engine management system.

bullet_tick Keep your windows closed, leaving them open can cause increased drag on the vehicle. On certain vehicles, using the air con can work out cheaper than driving with all of your windows open.

bullet_tick Change in to gears sooner, the red line is not there to act as a gear change indicator. Depending on the roads, you can get away with changing at less than 2,000 rpm.

bullet_tick Look after your car, ensuring that the oils levels are checked and problems are rectified sooner rather than later will help your car.

bullet_tick Do not carry unnecessary clutter in your vehicle, this causes excess weight.

bullet_tick Fill up in the morning and only half pull the leaver. All pumps are calibrated and tested by Trading Standards on a fast fill and a slow fill. Sometimes you can gain as much as 25p from doing a slow fill.

bullet_tick Keep an eye out on your mpg, when using different petrol stations. Sometimes the quality of fuel at one station isn't as good as another.
